CONTENCE / LEGAL
Terms of Service
Last updated October 23, 2026
These terms govern your use of Contence, operated by Shoal Research. By using Contence you agree to them.
The service
Contence connects your media services (such as Frame.io, YouTube and Typefully) to a workspace and exposes them to you and the AI agents you authorize through a web console, a command-line tool and an MCP server.
Your account and workspace
You are responsible for the people and agents you give access to, and for the access level you grant them. Workspace admins decide which services are connected and which actions are allowed.
Your content
You keep all rights to your content. You grant Contence only the permission needed to perform the actions you request. Your use of each connected service remains subject to that service’s own terms, including the YouTube Terms of Service.
Acceptable use
Do not use Contence to break the law, infringe others’ rights, or disrupt the service or the services it connects to.
Approvals
Actions that change content outside Contence, such as uploads, shares and publishing, require approval by a named person in your workspace. A request that succeeds is not proof that content was published; check the result.
Availability and liability
Contence is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Shoal Research is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for the behavior of connected services.
Ending use
You may stop using Contence at any time and ask us to delete your data. We may suspend access that violates these terms.
